Located in the heart of National University of Singapore’s (NUS) tropical campus, we are a young, social, and highly international research group. Our scientific backgrounds span molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology, and we share a core interest in engineering biological systems. We are fortunate to conduct our research in the resourceful surroundings of NUS’ School of Medicine and our synthetic biology cluster, SynCTI, with outstanding facilities, a very competent academic environment, and good connections to the thriving biotech scene of Singapore. Our mothership, NUS, is ranked #19 amongst universities worldwide and our School of Medicine #14, by Times Higher Education.
We are always scouting for talented and motivated people with a passion for synthetic biology to join our group!
@ Students: If you are interested in conducting research in our lab, please email Julius. NUS students can join us for UROPS, FYP, and Master’s projects, while international students can reach out for URAPS and independent projects.
@ PhD applicants: Currently, we accept candidates from the NUSMed PhD programme, but we may be able to arrange with other programmes too. Please email Julius.
@ Postdoc applicants: Interested candidates with a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or medical research should email Julius their cover letter (detailing research interests and how they fit into our lab) and CV with a complete publication list.
